Remi Tinubu Empowers 1,000 Women, Persons with Disabilities in Lagos

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commended the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for empowering 1,000 women and persons living with disabilities through her Renewed Hope Initiative. The programme, which took place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, provided beneficiaries with essential tools to build sustainable businesses and improve their livelihoods.Speaking on the initiative, Sanwo-Olu highlighted the First Lady’s belief that women are pivotal to societal progress, a conviction he said aligns with Lagos State’s priorities. To amplify the programme’s impact, the Lagos State government contributed an additional 500 empowerment items, ensuring more women could benefit from the initiative.The governor urged the beneficiaries to utilize the resources wisely to grow their businesses, emphasizing that their success would contribute to the prosperity of their families and Lagos as a whole.
