Gov. Fayemi: We have completed 1,000 projects in Ekiti

The Ekiti State Government said on Monday that the present administration ‪‪in the state had completed no fewer than 1,000 projects in 35 months.

‪‪The state Commissioner for Information, Mr. Tayo Ekundayo, made the disclosure during a press conference marking the third anniversary of Governor Kayode Fayemi-led administration in office in Ado Ekiti.

He said the administration kept faith with Ekiti people in spite of the numerous challenges and huge debt burden inherited at the inception of the administration.

He added that 5,000 senior citizens were added as beneficiaries of the social security scheme for citizens above 65 years.

This, he said, increased the number of the beneficiaries to ‪‪25,000.

He added that the construction of the Hilltop Governor’s office on Ayoba Hill, Ado Ekiti, the state Pavilion and the Funmilayo Olayinka Civic Centre at Fajuyi, would be completed before the first quarter of 2014.
