Joint Account and Seperate Accounts, which shall it be for New Couples?

Okay, Today they preach togetherness to the new couples buh does that include having a joint accounts with your wife or husband?

I have this feeling that having a Joint works out for transparency in the family but somehow i think i am still wrong (not married yet though) so i ask, what you think of separate and Joint Accounts in Marriage.

Or for a better understanding, How should finances be handled in a relationship between a man or woman?
