INEC needs N126bn for 2025 operations, says Yakubu

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, has said that the umpire would require about N126bn to fund its activities in 2025 and begin preparation for the 2027 general elections. Mahmood stated this at the National Assembly Complex while defending the 2025 budget proposal before the Joint Committee on Electoral Matters.
