Nigeria to battle Spain on a 8-team tournament tagged 'Road To Brazil'

Nigeria's Super Eagles are billed to feature in an eight-team pre-2014 Fifa World Cup tagged 'Road To Brazil' alongside world champions, Spain.

The series of warm-up matches are expected to hold in the United States from May 27 and June 10 and it is organised by the Major League Soccer (MLS).

The Super Eagles will take part in friendly matches during the invitational alongside defending world champions, Spain and World Cup opponents, Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The Ivory Coast, Greece, Honduras, Bolivia and El Salvador are the other teams to take part in the pre-World Cup tune-up matches.

"Defending world champions Spain and African champions Nigeria feature in an eight-team 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil warm-up tournament to be staged in the United States between 27 May and 10 June," Fifa announced on its official website on Tuesday.

The schedule for the 'Road To Brazil' event is expected to announced by the organisers in the coming days.
