V@ginal Repair and Hymenoplasty More Common in North Due to V!rginity Expectations - Nigerian Doctor

A Nigerian female doctor, Zainab Suleiman, has highlighted that v@ginal repair and hymenoplasty procedures are more prevalent in the North due to societal expectations around v!rginity before marriage. These procedures aim to restore the hymen or v@ginal tightness, often driven by cultural pressures.In some Northern communities, v!rginity is highly valued, and these procedures are seen as a way to meet societal expectations.In a viral Facebook post, the doctor wrote:"V@ginal repair Vaginoplasty, hymenoplasty is more common in the North than in the south /west /east. Because women must marry as virgins. Security must be guaranteed and it must be logical," she wrote.  “With just 5 to 25k you are good to go. In some facilities. In fact, a lady did her own 50k by a nurse. It went well and many others,” she added.  Hymenoplasty is a surgical procedure to repair a torn hymen while vaginoplasty involves reconstructing or reshaping the v@gina.
