China’s zero-tariff policy on African countries: What implications for global trade?

China-African trade receipts show that African countries largely export raw materials such as oil, copper, cobalt, and agricultural products, while China exports manufactured goods and machinery to Africa. Critics argue that removing tariffs may not fundamentally change this imbalance.
