Lagos State Police arrests Woman for selling a 2-months baby for N30,000

The Lagos State Police command has arrested a middle-aged woman for allegedly selling a two-month-old baby for N30,000.

The suspect identified as Mrs Victor according to Police sources was arrested at her residence in Sabo Ilaje area of Lagos, following a tip off.

Police sources at the State Criminal Investigation Department where the suspect is currently being detained, told newsmen that there was a complaint that the suspect was engaged in child trafficking. When she was arrested, she confessed to have sold a two month-old baby for N30,000. She is yet to state the name of the buyer nor give us her contact. She still insists she did not know the person. Investigation is still on-going Police sources said .
