Smart Watch battle on: Google Android-Wear/Samsung Android-Wear/

GOOGLE OUTED the Android Wear-powered Samsung Gear Live smartwatch during its I/O press conference on Wednesday, and it is now available to pre-order in the UK.

Over on the Google Play store, the Samsung Gear Live can be picked up for £169, and will start shipping on 7 July. LG's similarly-specced G Watch is also available to buy priced at £159, ahead of its release on 4 July. Both watches are also available to order in the US, priced at $199 and $229, respectively.

We already knew that Samsung was planning to release an Android Wear smartwatch, and Google confirmed that during its developer conference on Wednesday with the unveiling of the Samsung Gear Live.
