Ondo LG Boss (Mrs. Opeyemi Adefarati) Dies In Auto Crash

The Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Akoko South-West Local Government Area of Ondo State, Mrs. Opeyemi Adefarati, died in an auto accident on the Owo-Ikare Expressway on Thursday night.

The Public Relations Officer of the state Police Command, Mr. Aremu Adeniran, who confirmed the incident to our correspondent in Akure on Friday, said the incident occurred around 8.25 pm at Iwaro-Oka junction on the highway.

Adeniran said the accident happened when the driver of a trailer with registration number ABJ 413 XA, lost control while descending the Oke Maria hill and ran into the Toyota Camry with registration number GG268 EKY, which conveyed Adefarati.

He said seven people were involved in the accident, but two of them, including the council boss, lost their lives immediately.
