1,000 Women Displaced By Boko Haram Given N20,000 To Start Small Enterprises

Speaking in Maiduguri today, Tijani Tumsha, the Vice Chairman of VSF, explained that the women were selected by the leaders of ten Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps.  Mr. Tumsah stressed that the amount of N20,000 could allow the women to change their lives and the lives of their children.

Professor Sunday Ochoche, the Executive Director of VSF, announced that the organization hoped to empower 10,000 women next year in the States most ravaged by the Boko Haram insurgency.
