Sad Friday in Ogun: 4 die, others injured in auto accident

An accident which happened on Friday at Onihale in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State reportedly took four lives leaving ten critically injured.

Reports say the accident involved a bus heading to Lagos from Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State. The bus was said to have skidded-off the road and somersaulted in the process.

The driver, conductor, and two other passengers of the bus with registration number, Lagos XY178 LSR, were said to have died on the spot while the injured were taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

The Itori Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Fatai Bakare, confirmed the unfortunate incident saying the bus carried fourteen passengers before the accident.

He said that out of the fourteen passengers, four have been confirmed dead while the remaining ten sustained injury and rushed to Ota General Hospital.

According to the sector commander, the bus was coming from Abeokuta but later veered off the road and somersaulted.
