If the World Countries were divided by Religion, Would we be more Peaceful?

Studies shows that there are about 20 major Religions in the world ranging from Christianity, Islam, Hindu e.t.c. We are presently divided by landmass trapped with many ethnicity and tribes with different views. So just thinking if each religion has a country of its own, would our world know better peace or it would be worse?
