LG Polls: AKISIEC attributes late commencement to security threat

The Chairman of Akwa Ibom State Independent Electoral Commission (AKISIEC), Mr Aniedi Ikoiwak, said security threat to the commission accounted for the late commencement of Saturday’s council polls in the state. The elections scheduled to commence at 8 a.m. in the 31 local government areas did not start in any unit before 11.30 a.m. due …
