Groups reject DESOPADEC board tenure elongation by Delta lawmakers

IJAW Peoples Development Initiative, IPDI, and Niger Delta Scholars, NDS, yesterday, rebuffed the recent amendment of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC Law, 2015, by the Delta State House of Assembly, empowering the governor to extend the three-year tenure of the Commission’s Board by one year, saying it was ill motivated.
