Pipeline explosion in Lagos

A pipeline explosion occurred at Ijeododo in Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State, Saturday following the activities of suspected vandals.

Information gathered was that the explosion occurred after the downpour witnessed across the state.

The explosion sparked a huge fire still raging at press time.

Sources said that officials of the Pipelines Products Marketing Company, PPMC, who visited the site about two hours after the explosion, left due to lack of access road to the explosion point.
